HIV is a virus that can be caught during sex. The main way men catch HIV is through anal sex without a condom (fucking). Untreated HIV can cause serious health problems. The good news is that you can protect yourself from catching HIV with a treatment called HIV PrEP. https://www.dean.st/prep/

Anyone can walk into Dean Street Express to start HIV PrEP.

VACCINES

The following vaccines are recommended for all men who have sex with men. Come and see us. We’ll sort them out for you.

  • Mpox
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis A

If you haven’t had HPV vaccine, we also recommend that (protects against warts and some cancers).

DoxyPEP

Syphilis and chlamydia are two infections that are more common in gay men. You can protect yourself. Taking DoxyPEP reduces the risk of both by about 80%. It involves taking 2 pills of an antibiotic called Doxycycline within 72hrs after sex. https://www.dean.st/doxy-pep/
